Former Liverpool Executive Makes Unexpected Comeback in New Position After Rejecting Man Utd – Mirror Online

Julian Ward has rejoined Liverpool’s ownership group as the technical director at Fenway Sports Group, just a year after leaving the club. This move coincides with the appointment of Pedro Marques as the director of football development, who has come from Benfica.

Both Ward and Marques will hold newly created roles within FSG’s wider set-up. Ward’s responsibilities will include overseeing player development across FSG’s football operations, while Marques will be focusing on recruitment, negotiations, medical and science operations, and administrative and facilities management.

Ward was promoted to replace Edwards in 2022, following the latter’s departure after serving as sporting director for 10 years. As part of Edwards’ new role as CEO of Football, he has been tasked with seeking out new clubs for investment, as FSG aims to create a multi-club ownership model similar to that of City Football Group.

Additionally, the community members will receive special offers, promotions, and advertisements from FSG and its partners. If any community member chooses to leave, they are free to do so at any time.
