Ralf Rangnick repeats Man Utd excuse as Bayern’s Thomas Tuchel plan in ruins – Mirror Online

Ralf Rangnick has declined an offer from Bayern Munich to focus on his role as the manager of the Austrian national team. He emphasized his commitment to the European Championship and stated that he feels comfortable with his current position. Rangnick expressed the importance of discussing any potential career changes with the Austrian Football Association and reiterated his dedication to the team’s success. He also clarified that his decision is not a rejection of Bayern, but rather a choice in favor of his current team and its objectives.

Rangnick’s decision not to take up a consultancy role with Manchester United after his interim manager position was due to a shift in focus to the Austria job, which led to United announcing that he would not be involved with the club. In response to Rangnick’s decision, Manchester United thanked him for his efforts and wished him success in his new role with the Austrian national team. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will now explore other potential candidates after ruling out keeping Tuchel in charge. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen mentioned that the decision regarding the coaching staff was made based on the circumstances at that time and indicated that the club will now seek alternative options for their coaching role.
