Baggio surprised fans earlier this week by sharing an edited photo of himself holding a portrait that had also been doctored. In both images, Baggio appeared to be heavier and had longer hair reminiscent of his look at the height of his career.
He also captioned the image: “Coming up soon… @narcos 4” with a crying with laughter emoji. Fans found the post hilarious, with one fan joking that he looked like “Baggio plus” and another admitting to feeling scared for a moment.
Baggio retired from football in 2004, having had a successful career with victories in Serie A with both Juventus and AC Milan, as well as the 1993 UEFA Cup. He also played for the Italian side that reached the 1994 World Cup final, although they lost to Brazil in a penalty shootout.
Baggio reflected on his coaching experience, admitting that he had made mistakes by not adapting to the playing style of his athletes. He highlighted an instance at Parma when he didn’t adjust the system to accommodate Baggio’s desired position, and at Juventus, he learned the importance of allowing players to feel comfortable in the system they play.
