Two Premier League footballers from the same team have reportedly been arrested in connection to an allegation of rape. One of the players was arrested on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape. He left the stadium after a brief interview.

The other player, who is the same age, was arrested the following day and questioned on suspicion of rape, which allegedly took place on Friday night. Both players have been released on bail pending further enquiries. According to reports, a police spokesperson confirmed the arrests and stated that a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape, while a second 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.
