Top 10 youngest teams in the top five European leagues, with Todd Boehly’s £1bn Chelsea in second place – Mirror Online

In the summer, Chelsea overhauled their squad and now boast the second youngest squad among Europe’s top five leagues with an average age of 23.7. The departure of several older players has left Chelsea with just two players over 30 years old in their squad, Thiago Silva and Marcus Bettinelli.

RC Strasbourg, another club with a young squad, is currently home to two Blues teenagers, Brazilian youngsters Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos. Ligue 1 features prominently on the list, with six clubs among the top 10 having youthful squads.

Toulouse, in particular, is noted for having the youngest squad across Europe’s top five leagues. Notable young stars in Ligue 1 include Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, who at 19 years old, is a regular in the team after graduating from the B side in the summer.
