Harry Kane disagrees with Thomas Tuchel on Arsenal penalty claim against Bayern Munich, per Mirror Online.

The England international came into contact with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but referee Glenn Nyberg saw no reason to point to the spot. The winger expressed his frustration when the full-time whistle blew, and he made sure to voice his complaints to the Swedish official.

He may have had a valid reason to complain, as even Kane, his international teammate, understood his perspective. However, Kane stopped short of insisting that it was definitely a penalty, stating, “If that happened to us, I would want the penalty, but it’s a 50-50 decision.”

On the other hand, Kane’s Bayern colleagues were less convinced of Saka’s claims. The Bayern boss commented that there was contact, but it occurred too late after the ball was gone.

He also mentioned the confusion that ensued after the referee blew the whistle. Defender Joshua Kimmich shared a similar viewpoint, stating that he didn’t have the best view of the incident but didn’t believe it was an active foul movement.

Despite these differing opinions, Arsenal may have been fortunate to not concede a second penalty on the night. Tuchel, the Arsenal coach, suggested that the referee acknowledged his mistake and expressed frustration, stating, “I think the referee did not have the courage today to give a deserved penalty in a bit of a crazy and awkward situation.”

Tuchel recounted the situation involving the goalkeeper and the handball, expressing his disappointment with the referee’s admission of the mistake. *Join our new WhatsApp community* *and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
