Peter Schmeichel concurs with Sir Jim Ratcliffe in issuing a warning to Erik ten Hag of Man Utd.

Schmeichel, speaking on behalf of Panini ahead of the launch of their Official Premier League Trading Card game Adrenalyn XL, emphasized the importance of the Premier League for Manchester United, stating that he wants to see improvement from the previous season. He acknowledged the significance of winning a trophy but stressed that the league should be the priority. He also echoed co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s estimation that it will take United at least three years to win the title, recognizing the magnitude of the rebuilding process and the depth of the challenges facing the club.

While expressing hope in the club’s direction, he highlighted concerns about injuries, particularly pointing out Luke Shaw’s situation and his decision to participate in the European Championship despite not being fully fit. Schmeichel also underscored the difficulty of acclimating new players to the demanding environment at Manchester United, emphasizing that the club’s stature makes it a challenging place for newcomers.
