Leny Yoro may make Erik ten Hag break Man Utd promise after receiving £52m boost – Mirror Online

The Red Devils are currently seeking defensive players and have identified a number of potential targets, including a young player from Lille. Yoro is interested in moving to Spain, though Real Madrid is hesitant to pay the high fee and hopes to secure him in a year’s time. This potential move may result in Ten Hag going back on his promise to De Ligt. Yoro’s transfer would represent a significant investment, bringing United’s spending on two center-backs to around £100m.

In addition to Yoro, the club is also interested in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and has had numerous bids rejected, although the player is open to a move to Old Trafford. Ten Hag is believed to want two of the three defenders on his shortlist, which may depend on the players’ willingness to move and the club’s desire to sell. United have raised capital through the sales of several players, with Donny van de Beek heading to Girona and Willy Kambwala moving to Villarreal. Last season, Ten Hag’s team encountered significant defensive struggles, conceding numerous goals due to notable injury issues.

Ten Hag is also monitoring PSG’s defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte, but may need to offload Casemiro.
