England Euro 2024 Squad: Gareth Southgate’s surprise omission of Jordan Henderson – Mirror Online

Jordan Henderson, a former team-mate of Curtis Jones, has not been included in the England squad. The team has upcoming friendlies against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland. Their Euros group includes Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia.

Henderson, who has 81 senior caps for England, has been part of the squad for every major tournament since Euro 2012. After winning multiple trophies with Liverpool, Henderson moved to Al-Ettifaq before switching to Ajax. Southgate explained that it’s easier to assess players in a European league and that Henderson will be excited about the upcoming games.

Southgate made the decision to freshen things up, and while it may hurt, he emphasized the importance of moving on in football. In a separate football-related segment, the Red Dragons have experienced two consecutive promotions and are supported worldwide, partly due to the Disney+ documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’. Additionally, a dedicated source of football information, ‘Wrexham is the Game’, is available on Wednesdays for a limited time at a discounted subscription price.
