Erik ten Hag claims Man Utd are in a better position now than a year ago – Mirror Online

Erik ten Hag believes that Manchester United is in a better position now than it was a year ago. He dismissed the idea of the team qualifying for the Europa Conference League for the first time or failing to reach Europe altogether, and suggested that the new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will recognize the progress made this season.

While last season saw United win the Carabao Cup in Ten Hag’s debut season, he pointed out that despite the results, the team now has more players and high-quality players in the squad, leading to a stronger position. He also highlighted the development of young players with high potential, along with established and experienced players, which he believes can make a competitive and strong squad.

Emphasizing his positive outlook, he stated that he never thinks in a negative scenario and encouraged the team to seize the opportunity in their hands.
