Medical staff promptly responded to the emergency at half-time, and the fan was taken for further medical assistance, leading to a brief delay in the second half. TNT Sports reporter Becky Ives described the events and expressed good wishes for the fan’s health. Despite the circumstances, both teams returned to the pitch for the second half, with Villa trailing 2-1 from the first period.

They ultimately lost 4-2, with Olympiakos’ Ayoub El Kaabi scoring a hat-trick to give his team a significant advantage at the halfway point of the tie.
