Manchester United plan to clear out 12 players and target six new transfers in Sir Jim Ratcliffe overhaul.

Manchester United’s recent struggles have highlighted the need for a major squad overhaul. Up to 12 players may depart the club this summer as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his football operations team aim to rejuvenate United.

Though financial fair play regulations will restrict spending, selling players will generate additional funds to address the team’s deficiencies. Several midfielders, including Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Sofyan Amrabat, are expected to be offloaded.

Additionally, the future of loaned-out player Jadon Sancho and out-of-contract Anthony Martial is uncertain. This summer marks the initial phase of the reconstruction at United under Ratcliffe’s leadership.

While it’s unrealistic to expect all issues to be resolved in a single transfer window, the primary objective is to offload underperforming players and bring in new talent to lay the foundation for a competitive United team in the future.
