Manchester City will have to navigate their upcoming matches without their top scorer Haaland, who was not even on the bench for their last game. Julian Alvarez will lead City’s attack in the remaining games of the season as they focus on two competitions. Manager Guardiola revealed that Haaland’s injury could also keep him out of the next match.
When asked about Haaland’s absence, Guardiola explained that the player was injured and unable to play. He also mentioned that Haaland had been too tired to continue in a previous game and had been substituted along with Kevin De Bruyne. Alvarez and Bernardo Silva are the other two players who have scored in double figures for City.
City is aiming to make history by winning the top flight for the fourth successive season, but their lead is not substantial. Additionally, Guardiola is seeking to secure his third FA Cup win, having previously achieved this in 2019 and 2023.
