Brandon Williams of Manchester United denies driving charges following A34 crash and sets trial date.

Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has pleaded not guilty to two driving charges and will stand trial next year. The charges include dangerous driving in his Audi A3 S Line on the A34 dual carriageway near Wilmslow bypass in Cheshire in August 2023, as well as driving without insurance. Williams, who has been on loan at Ipswich Town, appeared in court and entered his plea during a hearing at Chester Crown Court. The trial is scheduled to begin on March 17, 2023, and is expected to last three days.

Williams has been granted unconditional bail. Cheshire Police provided details of the incident, stating that a collision involving a grey Audi and a Ford Fiesta took place on the A34 near Total Fitness in Wilmslow. They arrested the driver of the Audi, later identified as Brandon Williams, and charged him with dangerous driving and driving without insurance. Williams has not played for Ipswich since last December, as he has been recovering from an unspecified injury back at Manchester United.

He is set to be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of June. The 23-year-old earns £65,000 per week. Additionally, there is an invitation to join a new WhatsApp community to receive daily Mirror Football content and special offers.
