According to reports, Joshua Zirkzee, who is being pursued by both Manchester United and Arsenal, has expressed a preference for a move to AC Milan. Reportedly, Zirkzee has instructed his agents to facilitate the transfer to his desired destination. AC Milan is said to be preparing an offer that is expected to persuade Bologna to part with the talented player. The offer includes a sum in the range of £42.9 million and the complete ownership of Alexis Saelemaekers, who has been performing well during his loan spell at Bologna.
Bologna, influenced by the £64 million fee paid by Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, believes that Zirkzee’s value is in a similar range. If Zirkzee were to make the move to Milan, it would be a setback for both United and Arsenal due to his potential and current abilities. Known for his stature at 6’4″, Zirkzee is characterized as an outstanding target man. He has expressed a preference for playing alongside another forward to create a dynamic and interchangeable attacking duo.
Commenting on his playing style, Zirkzee mentioned that his transformation into a “9 and a half” by his coach has shaped his approach, indicating that he is not similar to Marko Arnautovic and prefers to come forward, assist the team, and score goals. Reflecting on his experience, Zirkzee described playing against older opponents and how it motivated him to develop his skills, speed, strength, and technique to command respect and demonstrate his abilities. In addition, Zirkzee expressed his willingness to adjust his playing style and the necessity to impress others in the sport, including those in the community. He also mentioned the benefits and special offers available to community members but acknowledged that individuals can choose to opt out if they desire.
