The trio of Alexander-Arnold, Jota, and Alisson have been dealing with their own injury issues in recent weeks. Alexander-Arnold and Jota were seen training alongside their teammates, while Alisson was also spotted during the team’s latest preparations. Alexander-Arnold injured his knee in early February and has been sidelined since then. Alisson has been out with a hamstring injury picked up against Man City.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently provided an update on the trio, expressing hope for their return to action soon. He mentioned that both Diogo and Trent were training in a group and looked likely to rejoin team training by the following week. Klopp also noted that Alisson was working with the goalkeeper coaches, and his progress looked positive. Before their injuries, Alisson had made 24 appearances, Alexander-Arnold had made 29 outings with two goals and nine assists, and Jota had scored 14 goals in 28 appearances.
However, Liverpool still faces challenges with long-term absentees Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara, who are not expected back soon. Young midfielder Stefan Bajcetic is also dealing with his own issue and may return to contention later this month. Looking ahead, Liverpool has a Europa League quarter-final first leg against Atalanta and will also be in Premier League action over the weekend.
