Jurgen Klopp’s record against Manchester United has been less than stellar, with only seven wins out of 21 games against Liverpool’s bitter rivals. His away record is even worse, with just two wins out of 11, along with four losses and five draws.
Furthermore, the victories have come by significant margins, with a 5-0 win followed by a 4-2 victory in May 2021. Klopp has expressed frustration with these results and acknowledged that his team should have performed better.
Klopp also mentioned the challenges of the derby atmosphere at Old Trafford, stating that facing United puts Liverpool at a disadvantage compared to other teams. Despite this, he acknowledged that they have dealt quite well with the situation, but still expressed a need for improvement.
He also commented on their recent performances, noting that they have not dominated United in the same manner as in previous games, despite not achieving the desired results. In addition, Klopp highlighted his concerns about United’s upcoming match against Arsenal, expressing confidence that if they perform as they did against Liverpool, Arsenal will emerge victorious.
This statement also reflects his disappointment with his team’s recent performances. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
